It is obvious that the political culture in the transition countries in and around Europe is very low. It is becoming a common occurrence to prosecute former members of government, to lock them up, and to accuse current and former politicians of corruption. I believe that in this case, too, we ought to show a little more sensitivity in the European Parliament. We ought not to be so keen when it comes to defending our own and criticising others."@en1
