In this context, I would like to stress how important it is to transpose European directives in good time and implement them correctly. This is why I think that it is vital for Member States to be constantly monitored. This will help create a framework for tighter regulation of the internal market. Both businesses and citizens will be able to benefit from an enhanced single market. The latest internal market scoreboard indicates that only a small number of Member States have fulfilled their transposition targets. Unfortunately, Romania has failed to meet its target of 1%, although it recorded good results in March. Our country needs to step up its efforts in transposing EU regulations."@en1
