In 2010, reports of irregularities increased in all sectors, with the exception of pre-accession funds and traditional own resources. The fact that the Irregularities Management System (IMS) is not being used by all Member States has led Parliament to call on the Commission to take all necessary steps to the extent that Member States honour their reporting obligations and that it be possible to obtain data on the level of irregularities and fraud in the Member States that is reliable and comparable. I voted in favour, as it is essential that all necessary data be made available in a timely manner, making it possible to establish the actual scale of fraud in the Member States."@en1
