lpv:translated text	"I voted in favour of discharge in respect of the implementation of the budget of the European Union Agency for Fundamental Rights for the financial year 2010 because discharge is granted to the agency’s Director in respect of the implementation of the agency’s budget for 2010 and approval is given to the closure of its 2010 accounts. The Court of Auditors stated that it has obtained reasonable assurances that the annual accounts of the European Union Agency for Fundamental Rights for the financial year 2010 are reliable and that the underlying transactions are legal and regular. The annual activity report acknowledges that the agency adopted a code of good administrative behaviour, which, together with the staff regulations, aims to ensure ethical conduct, avoid conflicts of interest, prevent fraud and encourage reporting of irregularities. It is also noted that specific measures for awareness raising and avoiding conflicts of interest (e.g. declarations) are being taken during recruitment procedures and on procurement selection panels. In order to further strengthen this internal control, the agency aims to improve the application of the whistle-blowing rules and the protection of whistle-blowers, and this improvement is planned to take place during 2012."@en1
