I welcome the European Parliament’s calls for the agency to base its budget on its true needs and to properly use appropriations allocated to it. I welcome the fact that in its annual activity report (AAR) in 2010, the European Agency for Safety and Health at Work detailed data comparing one year to another so that we could assess more effectively the agency’s performance. I believe that other agencies should apply such a practice.
