"I did not support Mr Moreira’s report. At a time like the present, when uncontrolled relocations and the economic crisis are causing Western Europe serious difficulties, and all the basic principles of the common trade policy should be overhauled, the fact that the Word Trade Organisation (WTO) has decided to accept a claim from China against an article of the anti-dumping regulation applicable in the European Union, Council Regulation (EC) No 1225/2009 on protection against dumped imports from countries not members of the European Community, clearly demonstrates that on a global level, there is no desire to protect our production and industry, and that the Commission has still failed to understand that anti-protectionism does not benefit European businesses and consumers, but rather unfair conduct by third countries."@en1
