"I support the decision to allocate additional funding to the International Thermonuclear Experimental Reactor (ITER) project. The compromise that has been reached is a good compromise, which does not hamper other areas of growth in the EU. ITER is a project that must be pursued, for it is a tool for the future that will be a source of innovation and employment. In the future, it will contribute to restoring growth that is both strong and sustainable in Europe. This extension is an investment. In these times of public spending cuts, this funding has been the subject of an important in-depth debate in order to limit the resources used as much as possible and ensure that they are used efficiently."@en1
