In the same voting round we also voted on the CCCTB, the Common Consolidated Corporate Tax Base, a system that will also contribute to the prevention of tax evasion. These are the issues to which we must pay special attention in these times of crisis, in which we are demanding heavy sacrifices of our citizens. I think this resolution is also important for another reason. Namely, it highlights the fact that we have to continue to adjust the European Savings Tax Directive, which has already proven its worth, in the light of past experience and that we need to enter into taxation agreements with more third countries than is currently the case."@en1
