lpv:translated text	"Mr President, I was the rapporteur for the opinion of the Committee on Budgets on the matter of the taxation of energy products and electricity. Alongside many important issues in the debate, I call to mind the fact that, following intense debate, the Committee on Budgets adopted its opinion unanimously across all groups. The essence of this opinion is that the revenue from any future taxation of energy products, or a proportion thereof, could form a basis for a future system of own resources for the EU budget. This point, which is of great importance for the European Union, should therefore also be taken into consideration in all future debates. In closing I would like to express my thanks to all the shadow rapporteurs for their positive cooperation on this report and also to Ms Lulling, the rapporteur for the lead committee."@en1
