It is of paramount importance that these regions are supported in keeping with their specific needs so that they can help meet the Europe 2020 strategy objectives. Indeed, this can only happen by making the cohesion policy instruments more flexible. I believe that the potential of these regions must be leveraged so that they truly become an asset to Europe.
