lpv:translated text	"I welcome this report that attempts to respond to the concerns of the Irish people on the right to life, family and education, on taxation, and on security and defence matters. It recognises an Irish petition to implement ‘appropriate legal guarantees’ in terms of the Treaty of Lisbon. It is clear that these guarantees are explanatory, that they aim to address the concerns of the Irish people and that they do not change in any way the main content of the Treaties. However, official recognition in writing must be given to Irish concerns and I welcome the compact on signing and ratifying the protocol in relation to the concerns of the Irish people regarding the Treaty of Lisbon alongside the Croatian Accession Treaty."@en1
