"Mr President, we have focused on human rights this afternoon. In this context, I would like to highlight two points. In April 2012, we are assessing human rights in the world of 2010: we are considering something that should no longer be current. I would understand this if the report on human rights were drafted by students with no right to a fee. I do not understand, however, why the Council Secretariat only published the report in September 2011, and I have absolutely no idea why we are only discussing it in today’s plenary. My second comment concerns Belarus. With regard to human rights, Lukashenko’s regime has changed for the worse since 2010. I would therefore like to call upon the International Ice Hockey Federation not to organise this year’s World Championship in Belarus. Belarusians play good ice hockey and have the right to host this sport’s championship. Dictator Lukashenko, however, must not use this as proof that the world has accepted his government."@en1
