The 2010 annual report advocates the EIB contributing more by funding climate-related projects in areas such as energy efficiency, renewable energy, transport, forestation, innovation and adaptation to climate change. It is also positive that it calls for the EIB to be subject to a discharge procedure by the European Parliament on the deployment of public funds drawn from the EU budget or the European Development Fund and managed by the EIB.
