"Since Directive 2004/40/EC came into force in 2004, aiming to establish minimum requirements to protect workers from fields of electromagnetic radiation, affected groups have been expressing serious reservations. The deadline needs to be extended to enable us to draw up a long-term solution based on the requirements and technical options available and to avoid breaches by states that have not yet implemented the directive, which is anyway in need of improvement. For this reason, I voted in favour."@en1
