"Uniform European minimum standards for exposure to electromagnetic fields would help protect the working population. The primary assessment criterion for personal protection is the impact of electromagnetic radiation on the human body. Since health is the most important asset in our society, it is advisable to ensure that workers who are exposed to higher levels of radiation in their workplace are protected. I voted in favour of the report because, in my opinion, the directive has already brought benefits to the affected employers and employees and will continue to do so."@en1
