lpv:spoken text	"I voted for this resolution. The proposal aims to amend the decision establishing the European Refugee Fund in the light of the establishment of a joint EU resettlement programme. In the explanatory memorandum and the accompanying communication, the Commission explains that the efforts to establish a joint EU resettlement programme are a response to requests by the Council to come forward with such a programme to remedy current shortcomings. The idea is to increase the impact of EU resettlement efforts in protecting refugees, to maximise the strategic impact of resettlement through better targeting of those persons in greatest need of resettlement, and to formulate at EU level common priorities for resettlement on a regular basis."@en1
