".
I am voting for this report, drafted by Mr Taylor, on rights for passengers travelling by air, as it calls for enhanced legal certainty in the interpretation and application of EU regulations. Air travel has greatly increased in Europe, but there has not been a policy to increase information along with it, and there are still major shortcomings in observing passengers’ rights. The most important passenger right is the right to services provided as scheduled, based on the contractual obligation which arises from selling a ticket. It is vital that passengers are aware of their rights in order to ensure that they can exercise them. I am voting in favour as I agree that people with reduced mobility should benefit from greater accessibility and be aware of their rights. I agree that passenger rights should be communicated in the language used during the booking of the ticket, throughout key stages of the journey. It is important to ensure the rights of passengers with children, enabling them to board easily with pushchairs, and to board and disembark first. It is also vital to ensure the triple choice for the passenger between refunding, re-routing and rebooking in the event of a disrupted journey as a basic right, as this report advocates."@en1
