I welcome this proposal requesting the amendment of the Decision establishing the European Refugee Fund in the light of the establishment of a Joint EU Resettlement Programme. The idea to increase the impact of EU resettlement actions is welcome in the current international context; thus, refugees are granted protection and the strategic impact of resettlement is maximised through a better targeting to those persons who are in greatest need of resettlement, and through formulating common resettlement priorities at EU level on a regular basis."@en1
