"In the Netherlands, Geert Wilders’s Freedom Party (PVV) recently launched a website that is intended as a ‘forum’ for Dutch people to discuss their experiences, both positive and negative, with Eastern Europeans in a professional capacity. This is intended to offer citizens a way to pass on this information directly to their public representatives, specifically those from the PVV, who can then incorporate this information in their work. Because the opening up of the labour markets in Western European Member States has led to a dramatic influx of Eastern European workers, it is easy to understand the thought behind this step by the PVV. However, the website should not be used to name and shame individual citizens. Privacy must be respected. I did not vote in favour of the report, as I believe that the question of how to deal with this website is purely a national issue and should be examined within the Netherlands."@en1
