"I voted in favour of the resolution because this website targeted against East European workers is symptomatic of the anti-European direction the Netherlands is going in. This also includes the zealous refusal to allow Romania and Bulgaria to join the Schengen area and the efforts being made by the Dutch minister for asylum and immigration to obtain support from other Member States in favour of tightening European immigration legislation. The Dutch Prime Minister Mark Rutte refers to the fact that this site is an initiative launched by a political party and not by his government. However, tolerance of such actions is a clear indication that his government is tacitly encouraging them and accepting views which are contrary to the spirit of European integration and the values which the European Union has been built on. It cannot be said that this is an internal matter for the Netherlands as long as there is a clear sign of hostility involved against the citizens of 10 EU countries."@en1
