"Mr President, what has recently been happening in the Netherlands, where a political party, unfortunately one that supports the Dutch Government, has, for cynical political ends, been inciting hatred and opposition against migrants from Central and Eastern Europe who are supporting the Dutch economy with their work, is something that we must strongly oppose. I am very pleased that what is happening in the Netherlands has met with such sharp and decisive condemnation from the European Parliament.
Unfortunately – and I am very sad to be saying this – the type of incidents that we have been discussing do not only happen in the Netherlands. There are also voices speaking against Polish migrants in the United Kingdom and such comments are said by Members of Parliament from parties represented in this House. I appeal to the Poles in the Europe of Freedom and Democracy Group to call on their British colleagues to abandon their anti-Polish rhetoric."@en1
