lpv:translated text	"This resolution accompanies the approval of the International Cocoa Agreement by the European Parliament. While I am in favour of the agreement, I must reiterate the concerns expressed by my colleagues from the International Trade Committee during our debates. Indeed, this sector is still seriously affected by the problem of child labour and the European Union has a double responsibility in this respect: on the one hand, it is the main importer and main consumer of cocoa; on the other, it has a duty to promote its fundamental values in all areas. That is why I voted for this resolution, which represents the position of the European Parliament in this area and which will enable us to ascertain how our demands are implemented. The resolution will also serve as a basic text for the European Commission in its dealings with the other members of the International Cocoa Organisation."@en1
