lpv:translated text	"We voted in favour of the report on general guidelines for the preparation of the 2013 budget as we are able to support the general priorities and objectives focusing on attaining a budget for economic recovery and growth. However, we cannot accept the report’s position concerning the size of the budget as such. Contrary to what is stated in the report, budgetary discipline and priorities are what is needed. This applies to the whole of the EU, not just the Member States. Against this background, we voted in favour of the amendments that seek to provide clearer priorities in the budget, control of payments, evaluation of programmes, efficiency, monitoring and a freezing of the budget where, instead of larger budget lines, we focus on reprioritisation and transfers."@en1
