European universities have reorganised their activities using a framework of the three stages set out in the Bologna process, with a view to the so-called ‘third mission’ of the higher education system. The recognition and standardisation of the education systems throughout the European Union are encouraging the mobility of students, fostering European integration, in general, and growth and jobs, in particular.
