"The purpose of this report is to improve legal cooperation between the Member States of the EU and Norway and Iceland, so it applies many of the provisions of the Convention of 29 May 2000 on Mutual Assistance in Criminal Matters between the Member States. This is an important mechanism for combating cross-border crime which will, in turn, enhance cooperation with two countries that are already members of the Schengen area. I therefore voted in favour."@en1
