"I welcome this resolution, which is aimed at improving judicial cooperation between the EU Member States and Iceland and Norway in criminal matters. As Norway and Iceland are in the Schengen area, judicial cooperation is an essential tool for stopping cross-border crime, especially organised crime. It should be noted that the principle of mutual recognition is a cornerstone of judicial cooperation in criminal matters. Cooperation with these two countries will therefore be improved."@en1
