"I am against the establishment of the Euro-Mediterranean free trade area under the Barcelona Process. The convention on pan-Euro-Mediterranean preferential rules of origin, which we are being asked to approve in Parliament, aims to accelerate this establishment. It even extends its geographical scope. In addition, this convention does not guarantee an end to the importation of products originating in the Occupied Territories and therefore encourages the kind of coup that led to the current Israeli Government.
