We believe that the serious questions that have been raised should be followed up in the legal procedure that has now been initiated, based on the common rules and laws on which the EU is founded. We therefore consider it to be important for the Commission to fulfil its task of safeguarding the upholding of the Treaty by carrying out a thorough examination of Hungary’s new constitution.
