lpv:translated text	"The Council blocking the proposal on the distribution of food products for two years has created an urgent situation. Moreover, in its resolution of 7 July 2011, Parliament called on the Commission and the Council to develop a transitional solution for the last two years of the funding period (2012-2013) so as to avoid a sharp cutback in food aid, as a result of the reduction in funding from EUR 500 million to EUR 113 million, and to ensure that people dependent on food aid do not suffer from food poverty. In light of this, I am voting in favour of the proposal on Parliament accepting the Council’s position adopted at first reading on 23 January 2012 without making any amendments"@en1
