The Single Euro Payments Area (SEPA for short) is based on the development of common payment services at European Union level, aimed at replacing current national payment services. In a nutshell, this means that national and cross-border payments, bank transfers and direct debits should come under the same legal system. There are numerous problems relating to differences between payments in the European Union. I endorse this initiative and would like consumer rights to be protected. This initiative should simplify the whole process and help enhance competition, which would normally result in a drop in service prices."@en1
