lpv:translated text	"The EU competition policy has brought numerous benefits in promoting consumer rights, and it is also vitally important in encouraging the economic growth of the single market and in eliminating obstacles to the free movement of persons, goods and capital. The welfare of the small and medium-sized enterprise sector must be promoted in the European Union for the purposes of sustaining a strong, competitive single market. I fully support the rapporteur’s recommendations in relation to the establishment of a regulatory framework on funding and payment issues in the SME sector. I welcome what the report says on fostering competition in all sectors of the market – not least in the service sector, which constitutes 70% of the European economy – and on encouraging the establishment of new companies and services. All stakeholders in the internal market must give priority to the welfare of consumers and the small and medium-sized enterprise sector in order to restimulate the internal market and the future growth of European economies."@en1
