"The report is dangerous and misleading for women from the working and grassroots classes because it calls for them to become aggressors and victims in the imperialist barbarity of war. Although the report recognises that most war victims are women, the solution it proposes is to increase the number of female soldiers in imperialist armies and interventions, claiming that this will reduce aggression in armed conflict. This is a very defiant call. The aggression of imperialist armies is not a question of the gender composition of troops; it is an inherent characteristic of imperialism. Wars are born of the very capitalist system that is born and reproduces through war. The EU itself and the governments of the Member States are actively participating in the imperialist carve-up of the world in order to safeguard the profitability of the plutocracy which murders women, men and children in imperialist wars the world over, from Africa, Asia and the Middle East to the Balkans. The Greek Communist Party is fighting so that the anti-imperialist and fighting women’s movement can pave the way for a reversal of the capitalist system which gives birth to imperialist barbarism."@en1
