"Mr President, if I may, I would like to make a brief comment that there is some confusion surrounding this vote. How should one vote if one is against consumers being misled? If you are against consumers being misled by advertising claims, then you should vote in favour of the recommendation by the Committee on the Environment, Public Health and Food Safety; the recommendation by the Committee on the Environment, Public Health and Food Safety is the resolution. In other words, if you are against consumers being misled by advertising on food packaging, then you need to vote ‘Yes’. I say that only as an explanation, because some very confusing lobbying information is doing the rounds."@en1
