"The text we have just voted on is certainly of great interest considering the tonnes of food that are still usable but which are thrown away every day. The implementation of strategies for improving the efficiency of the food chain plays a significant role, given that the ‘culture of non-waste’ needs to be taught to all groups of citizens and encouraged through public measures for controls on products. Citizens must be involved in waste separation, in learning to reuse any leftovers that are still edible and with good information on the causes and effects, so that everyone can contribute to environmental conservation by reducing waste and increasing savings."@en1
