"The report contains interesting points and considerations, with which I agree, on problems that really exist in the European agriculture sector. The vulnerability of the agri-food sector and the volatility of prices, especially of inputs, today make the sector highly unfair and do not help the efficiency and sustainability of the agricultural chain. However, I have to say that references to the issue of climate change, which have nothing to do with the question of farm inputs, are too numerous and insistent. Furthermore, the rapporteur proposes setting up a new European price monitoring agency to prevent and rectify distortions in input prices. One more agency involves increasing EU spending without it being possible to reasonably foresee, in this case as in many others unfortunately, a benefit from its establishment. I therefore chose to abstain."@en1
