I voted in favour of Ms Klass’s report as it presents a balanced package that guarantees safer products that are better controlled and more widespread, the costs relating to marketing authorisations are standardised, and it increases the level of health and environmental protection. I believe that we are making positive progress with regard to relaxing and simplifying rules in this sector. We need to maintain a high level of protection of both human and animal health and the environment and increase consumer protection by means of clear and specific labelling of products. I also think it is positive that producers from outside the EU must comply with European standards if they want to market their products in Europe."@en1
