lpv:translated text	"− I am voting for this joint motion for a resolution, since, through it, the European Parliament is arguing with a single voice that EU law in its current form is sufficient to respond adequately to the economic crisis. This should be done on the basis of the Community method, since – it cannot be said often enough – the EU is a political project founded on common values, on strong common institutions and on respect for common rules, meaning that any agreement between the Member States should be based on solidarity. I would also stress the importance of leading role played by the national parliaments and the European Parliament in setting out and monitoring all the measures that have been adopted to combat the crisis, because that will mean we have economic governance that is better coordinated and more effective."@en1
