"Hungary is a country with major economic problems. Viktor Orbán’s government has not succeeded in finding a way out of Hungary’s difficult economic situation. Instead he has chosen the path of propagating and implementing national chauvinist strategies in Hungary in an effort to divert attention from the weaknesses of his own government’s policies. I believe that we should show solidarity with the Hungarians and with all other European Member States who are experiencing economic problems. I also believe, however, that solidarity is not something that can be ordered à la carte. All values apply equally within the European Union, not just solidarity, allowing the rest to be forgotten as Mr Orbán’s government currently wishes."@en1
