".
I entirely welcome the provisions contained in the report on the single transport area because the proper operation of the transport sector is also a prerequisite for the proper functioning of the single market. I would also like to draw attention to two provisions relating to the more rapid development of infrastructure. Firstly, transport between some EU Member States, particularly rail transport, still needs to be improved. It is therefore essential that attention should continue to be paid to projects included on the list of TEN-T priority projects. Secondly, in order to promote environmentally friendly transport, it is also necessary to improve the relevant infrastructure, in particular energy distribution points (petrol stations, charging stations for electric vehicles, and so on). Action is therefore also needed in other areas, above all town planning."@en1
