I welcome the firm tone they use to request greater transparency from the European Commission about the agreements signed with the Afghans in order to check how effectively the funds are being used. There is discontent about the way in which the funds are used, relating to the high level of corruption within the Afghan administration. This is why the recommendations made in the report are important, and the European Commission will have to take them into account. It is a well-drafted, professional report, which I voted for."@en1
