lpv:translated text	"The European Parliament, taking into account the proposal of the Conference of Presidents, and also in view of its decision of 15 July 2009 on the number of parliamentary committee members, has decided to amend the number of members of standing parliamentary committees. Following the entry into force of Protocol No 36 to the Lisbon Treaty, the new Members are entitled to sit in the European Parliament and on its bodies in full enjoyment of their rights. The changes to the number of members have affected 20 parliamentary committees and two subcommittees (the Subcommittee on Human Rights and the Subcommittee on Security and Defence). Parliament also decided that the chairmanship of committees may be held by up to four Vice-Chairs. Through its President, Parliament has, at the same time, informed the Council and the Commission of the decision to amend the number of members of standing committees."@en1
