"Madam President, Baroness Ashton, I would like to thank you for mentioning the tragedy which has been unfolding in Liège since the start of the afternoon: I am from Liège, as are two other Members of this House. We are in mourning and are completely shocked by this attack, which was carried out by a known criminal. As you mentioned, it has caused four deaths and injured more than 50 people and took place in the city centre, at the height of the festive season when everyone was doing their Christmas shopping. It is a real tragedy and it was very kind of you to have mentioned it. We are truly in mourning this evening."@en1
