lpv:translated text	"I voted in favour of this report because it aims to draw attention to trade and investment barriers preventing European Union companies from accessing markets in third countries. This report draws particular attention to so-called non-tariff barriers (NTBs), which are direct or indirect price influencers. Such barriers include export subsidies or drawbacks, exchange rate manipulations, lengthy customs procedures, unreasonable standards and inspection procedures, as well as import licensing, import quotas or export restraints. In its report, the European Parliament therefore calls on the Commission, which is responsible for international negotiations on behalf of the EU, to fight more actively against NTBs in world trade fora. Parliament also calls on the Commission to pay more attention to ensuring that free trade agreements concluded between the EU and third countries adhere to the principle of reciprocity where market access is concerned. In other words, they should ensure mutual benefits for both contracting parties."@en1
