The new legislation will allow foreign workers to obtain work and residence permits in the EU, granting them similar rights to those enjoyed by EU nationals in respect of working conditions, social security and access to public services. I am pleased that the European Parliament’s amendments have gone through, which means that non-EU citizens and those registered as unemployed will be eligible for vocational training and education."@en1
