"If there is one report I am particularly happy to see adopted in this plenary session, it is this one. From now on, victims of crime who are protected in one Member State of the Union will enjoy similar protection when they go to another European country, thanks to new rules on the European Protection Order.
Of course, protection measures for victims of reprehensible acts were already in place in the Member States but they did not apply when the victim went to another country. They will do from now on.
This protection will cover, for example, victims of sexual violence, harassment, kidnapping, stalking or attempted murder, as the directive will protect ‘against a criminal act by another person which may endanger his life, physical or psychological integrity, dignity, personal liberty or sexual integrity’."@en1
