lpv:translated text	"As Karel Pinxten fulfils the conditions laid down in Article 286(1) of the Treaty on the Functioning of the European Union, the European Parliament approves the Council’s proposal to nominate him as a member of the Court of Auditors, and instructs its President to forward this decision to the Council and, for information purposes, to the Court of Auditors, the other institutions of the European Union and the audit institutions of the Member States. As a member of the Belgian Federal Parliament from 1999 to 2005, Karel Pinxten was a member of the Finance and Foreign Affairs Committee. In 2004, he was elected Chair of the Foreign Affairs Committee. From 22 March 2006 to 18 April 2007, he was an alternate member of the Court’s Administrative Committee. After 1 June 2010, following the reorganisation of the Court, he became a member of Chamber III ‘External Actions’ and, in January 2011, he became an alternate member of the Administrative Committee. Since April 2011, he has been the Dean of Chamber III ‘External Actions’ and a member of the Administrative Committee."@en1
