Also taking account of the situation of the national economies of the euro area, which are going through a period of economic turmoil, I believe the European Union should demonstrate solidarity and make every effort to help mitigate the tragic consequences of the natural disasters that have, in this case, affected two Member States. This will also help these two countries to concentrate their efforts on consolidating their public accounts."@en1
