lpv:translated text	"ITER is a nuclear fusion research programme conducted jointly by the European Union, the United States, China, Russia, Japan and South Korea. Construction of the ITER site, located in Cadarache, is due to be completed in 2018. This project, half of the cost of which is met by the European Union, needs more funds. Since I believe that a revision of the multiannual financial framework is necessary, I voted in favour of the Böge report. This support for the ITER project will help not only to achieve the research and innovation objectives of the EU 2020 strategy, but also to reduce Europe’s energy dependence in the long term. These funds will be released as a result of savings made in other areas."@en1
