lpv:translated text	"Madam President, I voted for this report as it seems to me that the small and medium enterprise sector is very important for the economy of the European Union. I am certain that this report is a good start to ensuring the future of small and medium enterprises. This project has a central role in creating jobs locally, and in helping with economic growth. In Ireland, for example, small and medium enterprises are worth more than 10% of our gross national product. More than 40% of the workforce are employed by these companies. There is a need for an integrated approach to this in the European Union, and the European Union is not doing enough about the problem of excessive bureaucracy – red tape – but this report is a good start and I welcome it."@en1
