It is important that multilateral trade rules are correctly applied. Reciprocity in terms of market access for both parties in the context of bilateral free trade agreements is vital. I support the promotion of public procurement codes of conduct. European companies should be able to tender for public contracts in third countries on fair and equitable terms. At the same time, a stable and attractive environment must be created for European investors abroad.
